- The subject of this report is a floor and ceiling assembly composed of a 2-1/2 in. thick concrete floor supported on steel joists protected by a membrane ceiling of nominal 24 by 48 by 5/8 in. thick acoustical lay-in panels in an exposed grid suspension system containing two air duct assembiles and five 2 by 4 ft. recessed fluorescent light fixtures, constructed as shown on Ill. 1.
