- Abstract
- The ignition of pure acetylene through hot surfaces caused by outer flaming of acetylene pipelines are potential danger sources in the chemical industry. Therefore a model and simulation of the ignition process with the aim to get the temperature limit of hot surfaces or to achieve the movement from beginning til ignition of acetylene. The process of ignition is devided into two following processes of heat transformation and reaction of the warmed up gas. For the ignition of pure acetylene by flaming of a pipeline a general process could not to be found. Therefore it does not seem sensible making tests to find out the temperature limit and time limit of flaming a pipe with technically relevant diameter and floating acetylene as a safety norm.
