- Abstract
- The subject of this report is a floor and ceiling assembly consisting of a 2-1/2 in. thick concrete topping on metal lath on open web steel joists, supported by a steel beam, and protected by a membrane ceiling. The ceiling was composed of 3/4 in. thick kerfed edge acoustical tile installed in an accessible concealed grid suspension system with recessed fluorescent light fixtures and an air duct, constructed as shown in Ill. 1.
