- Abstract
- Full flame envelopment tests were carried out on three candidate winter uniforms. The first series consisted of three types, wool, flame-resistant (FR) Cotton and Nomex. A second series consisted of FR cotton, Nomex and matching cap. The results indicated that the protective qualities of all the assemblies was well above that necessary to protect against the radiation of the fire pit in these two second exposures using JP-5.
