- Abstract
- This report summaries the research performed under the NBS Grant No. 5-9018. Separate reports were released on the literature surveyed and categorized, the computer code and methodology developed, and a case study conducted. The report addresses the state-of-the-art of fire buildup to flashover in a room assuming and ignition has occurred. The authors suggest that the model for the development of a fire in a room from ignition to flashover should be considered a research tool and not a design tool. Several recommendations for model improvement are included.
