- Abstract
- These guidelines set out the Australasian Fire Authorities Council's (AFAC) preferred position on the temporary storage of dangerous goods at public events. This document does not take away the statutory requirement for the event organisers to provide an environment that is safe for all associated with it. This document is designed to provide guidance for the temporary storage of dangerous goods. Permanent storage of dangerous goods must comply with the requirements of the relevant Regulatory Authority and/or Australian Standard. At all events involving the temporary storage of dangerous goods in excess of the quantities stated in Parts F and G, such goods should be stored and provided with fire protection as stated in the relevant sections of this document, unless otherwise stated by the Regulatory Authority or Australian Standard.
