- A research project "Development of Design System for Building Fire Safety" is going to be just initiated in Japan from April, 1982, as a five years project sponsored by Ministry of Construction's Promotion of Cooperative Research and Total Development Project, which has been instituted since 1972 for the purpose of promoting synthetical development of big research projects on civil engineering, particularly on subjects which are great iun social demand and extensive in need of research works.
