- Abstract
- The coat and trousers, chemical protective, aircrew, flame resistant is a chemical protective and flame resistant duty uniform. The system incorporates both the fire retardancy of the CWU-27/P coveralls (coveralls, flyer's, men's summer, fire-resistant) and chemical/biological protection of the Battledress Overgarment (BDO) into a single integrated duty uniform. The coat and trousers, chemical protective, aircrew, flame resistant reduces and minimizes weight and bulk; the system weighs approximately 5 pounds. The system is not launderable. It may be laundered only for training purposes. The system protection may be degraded by gross contamination with fuel, oil or hydraulic fluid.
