- Abstract
- Decision making with regard to risk selection alternatives is complex when considering a complete industrial building. This project addressed an existing state of the firesafety system in an industrial building, as well as methods to enable management to select the most economical solution. Risk analysis involved a detailed evaluation using the WPI building firesafety method, as well as the Gretener Method. Computer analyses for these methods enabled numerical comparisons to be made. An elementary risk management procedure to compare the cost effectiveness of alternatives was developed.
