- Abstract
- The following is the final NIST report for the Halon 1301 Surrogate Candidates Project that was commenced March 1994. This letter report describes the experimental results following the Phase One selection of the three candidate simulants: SF₆, C₂HF₅ and CHCIF₂ as was described in my letter report to you dated August 1, 1994. An overview of the chemicals with the closet boiling points, molecular weights and critical temperatures (as analyzed in Phase One) is included in Table 1.
