Abstract
For the program on the determination of the structural properties of low-cost house constructions the InsulatedSteel Construction Co. submitted 30 specimens representing their "Frameless-Steel: constructions for walls, partitions, floors, and roofs. The wall specimens were subjected to compressive, transverse, concentrated, impact, and racking loads; the partiton specimens to impact and concentrated loads; the floor specimens to transverse, concentrated, and impact loads; and the roof specimens to transverse and concentrated loads. The transverse, concentrated, and impact loads were applied to both faces of wall specimens. For each of these loads three similar specimens were tested. The deformation under load and the set after the load was removed were measured for uniform increments of load up to the maximum load, except for concentrated loads, for which the set only was determined. The results are presented graphically and in tables.
