- The author has been associated with the testing of materials, apparatuses, equipment, etc., concerned with safety in the areas of explosions and fires over the last three decades in India. In this paper, he recounts some of his experiences and a few problems that he has had to face in work of testing and standardisation in the field of flammabilities of both gases and materials.
