- Abstract
- The design of water-filled column fire protection systems is based on the computation of steel temperature, heat-transfer rates, and water circulation that may result from fire exposure of the columns. This bulletin presents a discussion of the principles involvedin making the calculations and provides charts of heat transfer and pressure drop that will be useful in designing a system.
