Abstract
The effect of the fire size on radiative heat loss fraction and combustion efficiency was examined by an analysis of scale for pool flames with varying diameter (D). Correlations between D and radiative heat loss fraction or combustion efficiency were obtained. For 0.1m < diameter < 1m, radiative heat loss fraction and combustion efficiency are relatively constant and independent of D. For larger pool diameters, radiative heat loss fraction decreases with increasing D.
