- Abstract
- The mission of the United States Fire Administration (USFA) is, in part, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the management of the nation's fire service, as well as Emergency Medical Services (EMS). As part of an ongoing a need to satisfy this mission requirement, USFA recognized comprehensive directory that lists and describes the various EMS management resources currently available in the United States. This Emergency Medical Services Management Resource Directory is intended to provide information to EMS managers and represents a collection of information pertinent to the management of EMS. The directory focuses on identifying pertinent organizations and associations, computer data bases, and current reference materials. Included is a listing of contact intended to expand the network of information regarding EMS, as well as colleges and universities that offer certification and degree programs in the field of EMS. This directory was designed as a quick reference document to guide the practitioner or scholar in identifying or researching EMS resources.
