- Abstract
- This report represents the progress made in the first quarter on the preignition heat transfer study for fabric-skin systems. The problem of a dry diathermanous fabric has been numerically solved and sample results are presented. The problem of a moist diathermanous fabric is currently being formulated and the underlying assumptions are discussed. Progress in the experimental phase consisted of assembling the fabric skin system and a radiant heat source. Diagnostic experiments are currently being performed.
