Abstract
This report represents the progress made in the second quarter (April 1-July 1) on the preignition heat transfer study for fabric-skin systems. The analytical solution for the dry diathermanous fabric is compared with the results of an experimental study and the agreement is encouraging. A simple model for the moist diathermanous fabric is formulated and discussed. The experimental ignition times and temperatures for all twenty fabrics are presented.
