- Abstract
- Structural fire protection for farm buildings means first of all measures to make fire spreading between different buildings more difficult. However, there is often a lack of support for fire technical dimensioning for these buildings. This is especially true for those production buildings (spaces) where the fire primarily starts - barns and hay lofts. In this report there are examples on fire events in storage buildings for straw fodder and litter, animal buildings and straw fodder outside. The fire events in production buildings have been investigated with the help of information from real fires as well as trials and with knowledge from industry- and dwelling sectors. However, possibilities for transformation of knowledge from other sectors are limited.
