- Abstract
- A review was made of measurement and calculations of air leakage through door assemblies in order to evaluate their evaluate their effectiveness as barriers to smoke flow. It was noted that typical "fire doors" are not capable to meeeting proposed limitations of air leakage at ambient temperatures and that significant air leakage may also occur through interior walls. It was concluded that first priority should be given to developing and validating a standardized test method for air leakage measurements.
