- Abstract
- This report covers the effectiveness of refurbishing the aluminum coating of worn aluminized proximity firefighter's clothing. The intent was that if a "spray-on" aluminum enamel could restore the surface aluminum coating to an acceptable level of infrared radiant heat reflectance then the clothing could be worn for an extended period, thus, reducing replacement costs, and extending the "safe use-life" of proximity firefighter's clothing.
