- Abstract
- One of the important flammability characteristics of a material used in construction is the rate of flame spread across it, once ignition has been effected. Of particular interest here is wind-aided flame spread across a combustible ceiling of a long open-ended corridor, for a ceiling composed of a foam (or cellular) plastic. such insulating materials are frequently used in buildings, but their flame-spread characteristics are complicated.
