- Abstract
- The new residential construction market has been, and continues to be, of major importance to the wood products industry. Over the years, periodic studies have been conducted to enumerate and evaluate the types and qualities of wood products consumed. the most recent general study was done by the Forest Service in 1970 for 1968. A study on panels was completed by the American Plywood Association in 1977 for 1976 uses. The need for up-topdate information is critical, both for forest resource planning and for industry marketing efforts.
