- Abstract
- Results are reported of a laboratory investigation of the freezing up of roof vents in extremely cold weather and an anlysis is given of the heat-transfer process that leads to the partial or complete closure of these vents by frost under sufficiently severe conditions. Information as to the occurrence of frost closure in Canada and methods used there to avoid or minimize the freezing up of roof vents is also included.
