- Abstract
- Phase 1 of the Fire Information Field Investigation program has its objective, research of the state of the art used in the field to collect information for reporting on fire cause and circumstances by the public fire services and other agencies. A further objective of this phase was to develop a pilot training package designed to aid firefighters and fire officers in carrying out initial, on-the-scene, routine fire investigation. A supplementary role of the program was to study the feasibility of utilizing interdisciplinary teams to carry out in-depth investigations of fires of research value.
