- Abstract
- In this talk I shall try to develop a theme of continuing evolution of the technique of fire protection. Starting from early considerations we have evolved tests and standards which are imbedded in legal codes. These, however, are not always satisfactory, especially as impacted by new materials; and the possibility of mathematical modeling exists as a way to develop a new generation of tests, standards and subsequently codes for improved fire protection.
