- Abstract
- Under sponsorship of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Bureau of Standards developed criteria in a feasibility study to select a site for, and to evaluate the requirements of a total energy system on one or more OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH housing sites. The total energy system produces its own electrical, heating and cooling energy services independent of the local utility system. A Jersey City site was chosen as the location for the installation, evaluation, and field study of the total energy system.
