- Abstract
- ONLY ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Although the useful data on pedestrian movement through doorways and on stairs are reported, there are some questions about the analyses and the proposed flow rates. (1) Flow rate depend mainly on density, not number of people in queuing simply. (2) It is not clear that the relation between flow and door width is a step-wise function. (3) Arch-actions were observed under moderate density. (4) Because flow rate depends on density, the proposed flow rates through doorways are not reasonable for the current calculation method for escape time.
