Abstract
ONLY ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Although the useful data on pedestrian movement on stairs are reported, there are some questions about the analyses of the data. (1) Why is it necessary to introduce the time of lh and lv for calculating the speeds on stairs? (2) Because pedestrian movement on stairs affected by pitch of stairs, it is not able to compare properly with the previous data without it. (3) The t-test should be done between the sub-groups of handicapped people which have the similar features. (4) The regression formula for the speeds is extremely similar to the one for the flow rates on stairs. (5) The calculation method for pedestrian movement including handicapped people is not explained.
