- As requested by the Commission, we have completed our analysis of the data provided to the Commission by television receiver manufacturers concerning their experience with fire and smoke incidents in their products. The data supplied were not strictly comparable and wer incomplete in certain instances. This is discussed under 'manufacturers' data. This has necessitated certain reasonable assumptions in order to make the data more comparable. We have also had to make reasonable estimates concerning television sets in use based on the data available within the period of our analysis. A key to identify manufacturers by name is included in Enclosure 1.
