- Abstract
- A flame-retardant finish for cellulosic textile materials, the method of applying it and the textile materials treated with the flame retardant. More particularly, the flame-retardant finish comprises an aqueous solution of tris(hydroxymethyl)phosphine (THP) or tris(alkoxymethyl)phosphine (formula 1), a methylolated nitrogenous cellulose reactant and optionally, urea.
