- Abstract
- The subject of this Report is the fire resistive properties of air terminal units manufactured by Carrier Air Conditioning Co. The units are of two types, designated 37-A and 37-P. To determine the fire resistive properties, three full scale fire tests were conducted. The test assemblies consisted of a suspended ceiling, steel bar-joists, covered over with precast concrete slabs. The function of these units is to provide a variable volume of air supply at various temperatures and duct pressures by means of self-regulating controls.
