- Abstract
- This Report describes a fire test conducted on a nonbearing wall assembly constructed of four layers of 1/2-in. thick listed gypsum wallboard, faced on one side with steel liners and on the other side with steel facing units. The wall assembly was erected in the test frame. The object of this investigation was to establish a fire resistance classification for the wall assembly, erected and constructed of materials conforming in quality and physical properties to those described herein, by means of the fire endurance and hose stream tests conducted in accordance with the Standard for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL263 (ASTM E119, NFPA No. 251).
