- Abstract
- The subject of this Report is the fire resistance classification of a steel building column protected with cementitious mixture applied to an average untamped thickness of 1-1/4 in. as described in the section entitled "Erection of Test of Assembly." The purpose of the investigation was to determine the fire resistance classification of a structural steel column protected in the manner described herein, when tested in accordance with the Standard of Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc. for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL263 (ASTM E119, NFPA No. 251).
