- Abstract
- The subject of this Report is a nonbearing wall consisting of interlocking steel framing members faced on both sides with one layer of 1/2-in. thick listed gypsum wallboard. The object of this investigation was to establish a fire resistance classification for the wall assembly, erected and constructed of materials conforming in quality and physical properties to those described herein, by means of a fire endurance test conducted in accordance with the Standard for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL263 (ASTM E119, NFPA No. 251).
