- Moscow, USSR: As a member of Working Group 1.6 (Fire), established under terms of the US-USSR Housing Agreement (sponsored by Department of Housing and Urban Devlopment), Dr. Levine visited the Soviet Union to review various aspects of fire research and training activities. Dr. Levine participated in a US-USSR Joint Seminar on "Development of Fire in Buildings and Its Mathematical Modeling"; he also participated in a discussion regarding questions on preparing a section of the Soviet-American Dictionary on Fire Resistance on Building Structures; and he had the opportunity to review the Soviet practice on education of personnel in the Fire Service and discussed the benefits of that education.
