- This is a divisional application of Serial No. 262,314 filed September 5, 1962, now abandoned. This invention relates to flame-resistant plastic polymerization products. More particularly, it relates to certain bromoethyl esters of itaconic acid copolymerized with one or more polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compounds to form resinous, thermoplastic polymers which are higgly resistant to burning.
