- Abstract
- In this report a proposed test method for all types of foam concentrates is presented. In order to get experience of the test method a series of extinguishing tests has been performed both on petroleum products and polar solvents. Also various national test methods for foams have been studied. The object has been to get a test method that--is applicable to all types of foams,--has a high repeatability and reproducability,--evaluates the efficiency and economy of the foam concentrates,--gives the option of getting a "finger print" of the tested concentrate allowing for subsequent controls.
