- Abstract
- Hazard from burning garments depends on the ease of ignition, rate of flame spread, heat transfer to the body, and the ease of extinguishing the garments. The literature on each of these factors is briefly reviewed, and suggestions are made for experiments which could illustrate the effect of various fabric and garment parameters on injury hazard.
