- At approximately 3:30 pm on Friday, May 3, 1991, a fire of an undetermined origin destroyed two cold storage warehouses. These warehouses were part of a five building warehouse complex. All were large metal structures, and several of the buildings were equipped with automatic sprinkler systems. The facility was used for the storage of food including 13 million pounds of butter, 15.5 millions of pounds of cheese, and other foods. The loss was estimated at over 100 million dollars.
