- GDCD Standard 21 was written to cover PVC cable installations having reduced fire propagation characteristics. This specification has been prepared for cable systems containing low fire hazard materials and comprises four parts: Part 1--Cable Installations Having Reduced Fire Propagation; Part 2--Cable Installations Having Low Smoke Emission; Part 3--Cable Installations Having Low Corrosive Gas Emission; and Part 4--Cable Installations having low Toxic Gas Emission. This technical specification is an interim measure until its contents can be reproduced as a GDCD Standard.
