Abstract
This study explored the problems and background of juvenile arson and false fire alarms in the City of San Diego. In cooperation with the San Diego Fire Prevention Bureau, data on youths involved in fire offenses from July 1, 1970 to June 30, 1972, were collected and analyzed to determine trends and generalities so meaningful programs to combat juvenile fire offenses could be formulated. Four different programs were developed aimed at the target population of junior high school boys.
