- Abstract
- The Advanced Fire Suppression Technology (AFST) research and development program is being conducted by Olin Aerospace Company for WPAFB. The three phase program goal is to evaluate the effectiveness of gas generator technology in suppressing aircraft drybay and engine nacelle fires. This report presents the activities of Phase 1, including an initial evaluation of filtered and non-filtered solid propellant gas generators, as well as select hybrid agents.
