- In this progress report, we intend to present brief outline of some of the primary studies associated with fire growth prediction that have recently been conducted in Japan. The topics here were selected according to the authors' interest, and consequently there may be some other important works that we failed to refer to. Also, the scope of this review is limited to the subjects that directly address building fire problems, although there seemed to be some more interestng works when we look at fire research in general.
