- This report covers an investigation of a 12-1/2 lb stored-pressure Type Halon 1301 extinguishing system unit which also incorporates a container filled with 4 lb of dry chemical connected into part of the system piping. The system is intended to protect a kitchen hood and duct ventilating system and an associated deep fat fryer against fires initiating in the deep fat fryer or in the entrance to the ventilating system.
