- Abstract
- This customer test of Combat Vehicle Crew Chemical Protection/Flame Resistant Uniform (CVC CP/FRU) was conducted at Fort Pickett, VA to provide wear data for CVC CP/FRU worn in 16 days. The test consisted of one piece and two piece uniform designs with seven different uniform material combinations. Report includes consolidation of wear data on CVC CP/FR uniforms to include category of activity conducted while worn, MOS of players, and damage(s) noted to the CVC CP/FRU. Comments on the CVC CP/FRU uniform were: the pocket locations were in useful positions. The uniforms were hot during thd day and became cold at night. The CVC CP/FRU uniform snagged easily but were comfortable in comparison with their present uniform. All the uniforms were provided to NRDC for live Chemical Agent Testing.
