- Abstract
- The objective of this research was the characterization of the pyrolytically initiated interactions among antimony oxides/organobromine additives/polymer substrates in the solid phase. The thermolysis and/or volatilization of the organobromine additives decabromodiphenyl oxide, hexabromocyclododecane, and tetrabromobisphenol-A as well as the polymer substrates polymethylmethacrylate, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate were studied by thermal gravimetric analysis, pyrolysis gas chromatography and pyrolysis in the direct insertion probe of the mass spectrometer.
