- Laboratory testing of material samples from components of the Aircrew Cold Weather Clothing System (ACWCS) was conducted from 9 April to 24 July 1992 by the U.S. Army Combat Systems Test Activity (CSTA), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. Material samples from the parka, overalls, trousers, coat, and liners were subjected to water resistance, air permeability, infrared reflectance, POL/ chemical repellency, flammability, and toxic fumes testing. The tests were performed on new items and garments which had undergone several laundering cycles.
