Abstract
"Decoding Disaster: Nightclub Nightmares" takes an indepth look at the E2 nightclub tragedy in Chicago and the Great White concert tragedy at The Station in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The two calamities occurred three days apart in February 2003. Together, 121 lives were lost and approximately 250 people were injured. Both incidents have been the subject of numerous stories on Crowdsafe.com. The program, the first in the "Decoding Disaster" series, includes exclusive survivor interviews and dramatic computer simulations, as well rare disaster footage from the two incidents. Crowd Management Strategies' Paul Wertheimer appears in the program. "Decoding Disaster: Nightclub Nightmares" is the first serious look at these two preventable tragedies. It is a must-see for students and professionals interested in crowd safety, emergency evacuation, disaster prevention and event planning.
