Abstract
The purpose of the test was to evaluate the fire resistance and heat insulation properties of a prefabricated plywood sectional wall panel for use as a non-bearing enclosure wall of one-story buildings. The fire test was conducted under the procedure prescribed by the ASTM Standard E-119-55 except that the area of the specimen exposed to fire was 19 square feet in lieu of the prescribed minimum of 100 square feet, the panel was so mounted as to observe the horizontal spread of fire and transmission of temperature from the section exposed to the fire to the unexposed portion of the specimen. The standard hose stream test was omitted at the end of the fire exposure period.
